Huawei is expected to expand its lineup of high-end HiSilicon Kirin chipsets called the Kirin 9010, which is also an upgrade from the Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E.
Citing NDTV, Sunday (3/1/2021), Kirin 9010 will be based on technology based on 3 nanometers (3nm). Unlike the previous two chipsets that use 5nm technology.

For information, last year Huawei presented the HiSilicon Kirin 9000 as its last flagship chipset. This processor debuted on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro Plus in October. As for the Kirin 9000R, it is present on the Mate 40.
Sources have now revealed the first details about the company’s next flagship SoC which it claims will be called the Kirin 9010. The SoC is expected to be manufactured in a 3nm process.
If everything goes according to plan, then the company will successfully switch to 3nm process technology and release a new SoC in the fourth quarter of 2021. The chipset will debut in the Huawei Mate 50.
Giz China reports, prior to releasing the 5nm Kirin 9000 SoC, there were reports the Mate 40 might be the last Huawei flagship to use Kirin. But sources believe that is not the case. The Huawei P50 phone is also believed to feature the Kirin 9000.
If Huawei succeeds, Qualcomm and Samsung could also switch to 3nm processes before the end of the year. Apple is expected to prepare a 3nm SoC that will be produced by TSMC, but it won’t appear until 2022.
